WithIt, the women’s leadership development network for the home and furnishings industry, is presenting its virtual Professional Education Conference, titled “Navigating Leadership in 2020,” on Friday, June 26, 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Eastern time.
This year’s virtual conference will be led by Sydney Harris of Furnitureland South and Alexis Koscielny.
The one-day conference will include four key presentations, with a kick-off titled “COVID-19: What Happened? And Where Do We Go from Here?” by Denise Ryan. She keynoted last year’s conference and addressed WithIt’s Fall 2019 Education Breakfast.
The online event will continue with speaker Holland Haiis presenting “Leading with the Power of Connection.” Haiis is the human connection expert helping individuals and organizations create better relationships with technology, people, productivity, and creativity. She is the author of Consciously Connecting-a Simple Process to Reconnect in a Disconnected World.
Ginna Christensen, a business, marketing and leadership coach, will lead off afternoon sessions with “Taking the Lead,” sharing her coaching insights on leading through a changing business world.
Closing the conference will be Lisa Kahn-Allen, president of Lisa Kahn Designs, sharing her story of “Finding Peace Within Us to Create Peace Around Us.” The award-winning interior designer carved her stylistic niche in the residential decorating world as a purveyor of calm, and her message is meant to leave attendees with tools for self-care during this time of anxiety.
In addition, the virtual conference will include networking opportunities and will conclude with a virtual social event from 6:30 to 8 p.m., with music DJ’d by Jana Platina Phipps (AKA Trim Queen).
A special feature of the 2020 online WithIt conference is breakout-style sessions in the following weeks, along with a choice to include two online group coaching sessions by Haiis and Ginna Christensen.
The full agenda of “Navigating Leadership in 2020” is available on the WithIt website. Tickets for members ranging from $25 to $100 and guests from $50. Tickets for students are $25.
